Different Types of Cruise Vacations

Mainly, there are five different types of cruise vacations. Each of the type offers a different kind of onboard atmosphere and a different cruise experience.

Following are the five main types of cruise vacations:

1. Traditional Cruises:

As the name states, people on such cruise vacations are seen in tuxedos for dinner. The atmosphere in such cruise vacations may be a little quiet and serene as compared to all other cruise vacation ships.

2. Freestyle Cruises:

Freestyle cruising as the name states has a few restrictions and allows you to stay the way you want. If you like to stay in restrictions, then this is the right place for you.

3. Short Cruises:

If you like cruising, but simply can not manage to go for more than five days or a week, then you may opt for short cruise vacations. Many such short cruises are available that offer exciting range of destinations that too in a short time. However, if you wish to spend your vacation on a cruise and just have a week's time, then weekend cruise is the best choice for you.

4. Sailing Cruises:

Here, you will be cruising on real sailboats. As these boats are much smaller than big cruise liners, the atmosphere onboard is more relaxed and carefree. These sailing ships are equipped with modern facilities and amenities that cruise travelers require.

In addition, as there are less passengers on these boats. However, another advantage of such ships is that they can reach places where other big ships can not reach. This is an added advantage to such ships because of their small size.

5. Family Cruises:

Gone are the days when just couples used to go on cruise ships. Nowadays, families too opt for cruise vacations. Cruise ships for families have a range of fun filled and exciting activities for children as well as parents.
