Celebrate Christmas In Las Vegas And Add On A Grand Canyon Helicopter Adventure

If you’re going to be in Las Vegas for the Christmas holiday then you will find no shortage of entertainment. It’s one of America’s most popular destinations for a reason, and that’s because you’ll always be able to find something fun and exciting to do. One unique activity you may not have considered is sightseeing, and there are even scenic tours available to the nearby Grand Canyon.

Christmas Day is the only day of the year when helicopter tours are not available to the Canyon, but you can book one every other day of the year, including over the holiday season. With just a month to go, you will need to book your tickets as soon as possible.

Your Options

From Las Vegas you can choose landing or air-only helicopter tours. Both tours follow the same flight path to the National Park, passing over Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam on the way. If you book a landing tour, your helicopter will stop at the Canyon so you can explore the area on the ground, and if you book an air-only tour instead, the helicopter won’t land, instead, it will fly over the main highlights of the Canyon and head on back to Vegas.

The landing tours are highly recommended. After the 15 minute flight to the bottom of the Canyon, you could include a Champagne picnic, or even a Colorado River boat tour, on your tickets. Another option is to land on top of the Canyon where you can enjoy the scenic views from lookout points.

In addition to soaking up the scenery and hiking on trails, when you land on top of the rim, you can visit the Skywalk. The Skywalk is a massive and impressive structure. It has a glass floor that lets you walk 70 feet over the edge of the Canyon and look down 4000 feet to the ground below. You can’t carry a camera onto the glass bridge for safety reasons, but there is a photographer available to take a souvenir photo of your experience on the thrilling viewing platform.

Spoil Yourself With A Deluxe Tour

There are both basic and deluxe tours on offer from Las Vegas. The main difference between the tours is the type of helicopter you get to fly in. Deluxe tours fly on EcoStar 130 helicopters. These helicopters are made for commercial sightseeing, and they are more comfortable and have bigger cabins.

The interior cabin is climate controlled, and there are large seats arranged so that all passengers have an unobstructed view. The best part though is the 180 degree windshield that wraps around the helicopter for panoramic views of the land below you. In addition to being designed with comfort in mind, the EcoStar choppers are made to be more stable, so the flight is as smooth as possible.

If your budget allows for deluxe tickets, then I highly recommend this option. Also, the deluxe tours come with complimentary limousine transportation to and from your hotel in Vegas to the helipad, which is conveniently located on the Vegas Strip.

Booking Your Canyon Helicopter Tour

Booking your tour is easy when you do it online where you can select the best tour for your budget and buy it immediately. No matter what tour you choose and what adventures you add like a picnic or Skywalk tickets, you’ll be set for a day of beautiful sightseeing and adventure you’ll always remember. So, remember to buy your tour online and be sure to do it as soon as you can. Christmas will be here before you know it and the closer it gets, the quicker the tours fill up and sell out. Celebrate this Christmas in a unique and special way by touring one of America’s most scenic natural landmarks over the holiday.
